Fresh out of scoring a maiden pole position at the last race, IndyCar rookie Louis Foster heads to the home event of his team Rahal Letterman Lanigan at Mid-Ohio this weekend.

Foster, driver of the #45 Droplight / Desnuda RLL Honda, took a sensational first NTT IndyCar Series pole at Road America, taking his average start to 12.89 (out of 27 cars) across nine races.

The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio is a big home event for RLL and the perfect chance to continue his strong form with another road course.

“I’m really proud to represent RLL at such an important race for the team,” says Foster, who is backed by Copart, a global leader in online auto auctions.
“I won here - it was my first Indy NXT by Firestone victory back in 2023 - so as with many tracks on the calendar we’ve got good memories here.
“It’s a tough road course and there’s nowhere to hide, especially here, but also anywhere in this series such is the level of competition.
“If we keep qualifying as we have it puts us in a great position, and then a lot of our work at the moment is trying to execute the races flawlessly to take the best result possible.
“That’s certainly the goal this weekend, making the team and its partners proud at this special event.”

Foster is currently two points off the lead of the rookie of the year standings and is targeting a move forward in the coming weeks where there are five races in July alone.

“The schedule is tough but it’s the same for everyone, so it’s an opportunity to go out and build momentum,” adds Foster.
“Of course, while the qualifying results have been good the races have been a struggle for us, there’s just so many things you have to nail achieve the results you want here.
“I’ve been working with the team and engineers, and now we’re onto a rapid-fire run of races.
“Hopefully we can bag decent points and keep building on the fundamentals.”
