Louis Foster returns to the site where he clinched the Indy NXT by Firestone championship last year as he leads the IndyCar rookie of the year standings.

Foster, 22, sealed the Indy NXT title with a round to spare with victory in Milwaukee - he won all of the oval races in the season last year - and now returns with Rahal Letterman Lanigan eyeing more success with two races remaining this season.

“Obviously, Milwaukee will always be a special place for us to go to,” says Foster, who is backed by Copart, a global leader in online auto auctions.
“It wasn’t just the place we won a title, it was sharing that experience with my family, partners and everybody who helped make that result possible. We also finished the season really strongly which was a great send-off to Indy NXT.
“Now we come back in an IndyCar and there’s a lot to be positive in how our season has gone, but a lot of work to make things better too. That's OK, we're not scared of that.
“We’ve had a short break from racing but the team and I have been working harder than ever to prepare for these last two races, to end the season in the best possible way.
“It’s a long off-season in IndyCar so you want to end the season as best as possible because it’s a long time before you are competing in the car again.”

Foster is leading the rookie of the year standings by six points with two races to go as Nashville follows Milwaukee.

He finished his last oval races in 14th at Iowa, and earlier in the year he impressed by being the top-finishing rookie at the Indianapolis 500, scoring 12th.

“The ovals haven’t been too bad for us this year, of course we want to be challenging further forward and have been working hard to improve on all the ovals,” added Foster, driver of the #45 Droplight RLL Honda.
“Each oval in IndyCar has different characteristics so there’s a lot of variables that can change, so we’re all working really hard to be at the top of our game.
“This was a new track returning after a long absence in IndyCar for last year, so the team and I have that event to look back on and learn from to help prepare.
“I really want to finish this season strong for the team, our partners and everybody who has supported us this year.”
